Now that we are already into 2018, most of us might have made some kind of a New Year resolution. These can range from things like, ‘I will learn something new this year’ to ‘I’m definitely going to the gym and getting fitter’. But then, life takes us for a ride and we get back to the daily grind forgetting about what we wanted to do. It’s happened to almost everyone and very few of the new year resolutions ever come to fruition.
Well, it is time we don’t let the resolution become a thing of the past and do something about it. At Pedagoge, we would like to help you out and give you a nudge in the right direction by making it easy for you to find the right teacher to learn what you want.
That being said, we have curated a set of 10 technical and non-technical skills that are popular among some of the resolutions we’ve heard and what you should consider learning in 2018 to set yourself apart from the rest!

User Interface Design, popularly known as UI Design is the skill of designing that part of the product which people interact with and provides a better user experience. It is mostly used in website designing. It is increasingly in demand, especially in the technology/e-commerce/internet industry and a great career choice for someone who has a creative bent of mind and loves technology!
In today’s day and age, whether you are a male or female, it is very important to know how to protect yourself and kick some ass while facing an adverse situation. It’s pretty cool to walk around with the confidence of being able to defend yourself. So, make sure you take Karate lessons in 2018!
4) Communication Workshop
A lot of people hear but forget to listen. Listening is a skill which requires a lot of patience to master. Communicating effectively is an art. 5) Learn a new sport
We cannot emphasise enough the importance of playing sports! Apart from keeping you fit, research has proven that it keeps you mentally healthy and teaches you to handle both success and failure gracefully. Athletes have been observed to be more disciplined and eager to accepting new challenges. You can find teachers for many sports including cricket, tennis, basketball etc. with us and we promise you will be healthier and happier than before!
Have you made Chapatis which looked like Amoeba ever? Or put in extra salt when you were trying to make ‘Aloo ki Sabzi’? Don’t worry, it has happened to most of us and then after numerous trial and error experiments, we have made dishes that are edible. It’s high time we learn to cook our own food. Get a jump start on eating healthy this year by learning to cook both basic and extravagant dishes.
7) Illustration and Designing
If you think you can be a creative genius who is full of ideas, waiting to explode and you have the ability to transform ideas and concepts into designs, then tools such as Adobe Photoshop, Corel Draw and Adobe Illustrator can be your best friend.
